Valentine’s Day Dog Treats

This Valentine’s Day, speak your dog’s love language: T-R-E-A-T-S. To show them some love, follow this easy, dog-friendly recipe.

- Unsweetened Pumpkin Puree
- Ground Flax Seeds
- Ground Chia Seeds
- Oats
- Applesauce
- Coconut Flour
- Non-fat, Unsweetened Yogurt
- Maev® Bone Broth
- Beet
- Potato or Tapioca Starch

Heart Treats
1 cup unsweetened pumpkin puree
¼ cup ground flax and chia seeds
½ cup oats
¼ cup applesauce
- Combine the pumpkin puree, flax and chia seeds, oats, and applesauce in a large mixing bowl until well-blended.
- Add coconut flour to desired consistency. Then, knead and roll your dough evenly to cut out treats.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and cool to room temperature, pre-icing.
Pink Icing
1 cup nonfat, unsweetened yogurt
¼ cup beet juice
½ cup starch (potato or tapioca)
- Over low heat, melt your Maev® Bone Broth and Beet until completely melted and combined. Set aside for approximately 5 minutes to cool.
- Next, move your room temperature Broth and Beet mixture into a smaller bowl. Stir in the yogurt and a sprinkle of coconut flour for desired consistency.
- *If you make icing ahead of time, make sure to leave it in the refrigerator.
- Frost your room-temperature heart treats and feed to your special someone.
Note: Heart Treats and Pink Icing will keep in the refrigerator for about 1 week.
