It’s healthier, higher in protein, and there are no additives, fillers, synthetics, or high-heat degradation of nutrients (because our raw food is made and served frozen, not cooked). Kibble, Dehydrated, and even some fresh dog foods rely on binders (like carbohydrates) and preservatives to keep their foods shelf-stable (have next year’s expiration date). They also tend to be highly processed — they rely on high heat temperatures which degrade nutrient values and absorption of vitamins, minerals, and macro and micro nutrients. Maev, on the other hand, is made with 11 straightforward ingredients (including USDA lean proteins, whole fruits and vegetables, and scientifically studied supplements). It’s frozen at approximately -14°F, forming smaller ice crystals (which helps prevent moisture loss) to better protect the cell membrane of our whole ingredients. Plus, the frozen texture helps remove plaque buildup on teeth to support their oral health (and promote better breath).
